Toraja Package Tour 5D/4N (Sengkang)

You will drive about 8 hours to Tana Toraja region that located about 350 km in north Makassar to see the traditional house called Tongkonan and all the unique grave that you only can find in here such as Lemo, grave yard on the cliff, Suaya, old royal stone graves of the seventh king, Sanggala, the tree for the dead babies, Londa, an ancient natural graves and puppets on the balcony representing the dead, BORI, the stone showing the existence of the funeral site of the clan and Marante, the hanging graves

On the other hand, Batutumonga offers you mountainous area and fantastic scenery of green paddy field, Palawa which is the oldest village of Toraja with old Tongkonan houses and rice barns surrounded and Sa'dan as traditional weaving village.

It's not all about Toraja. You can do more exploration in Bantimurung which is a protected government natural reserve, Sengkang where you can see the floating house and villager life who live at the lakeside and Tanasitolo, the centre of silk weaving.

Day 01 : Ujung Pandang - Sengkang

Upon arrival at Hasanuddin airport, meet your transfer service Sengkang. Enroute you will visit Bantimurung, a protected Government Natural Reserve. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon you arrive in Sengkang, you will board local motorized boats of the fishermen to explore the lake to see the floating houses and village life by the lakeside. Then you will have dinner at a local resto, overnight at a Hotel. Nonstar (local standard)

Day 02 : Sengkang - Toraja

After breakfast at Hotel, you transfer to Toraja via Enrekang. Enroute you will visit the centre of silk weaving at Tana Sitolo. In the afternoon you arrive in Toraja, check-in the Hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 03 : Toraja Tour

After breakfast, visit the fascinating villages of Tana Toraja with the unique Tongkonan Houses which are shaped like a ship's bow and stern. See the LEMO (grave yard on the cliff), SUAYA (old royal stone graves of the seventh king), and SANGGALA (the tree for the dead babies). Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch you visit  LONDA, ancient  natural graves and puppets on the balcony representing the dead. You also get to see the KETEKESU, a traditional Toraja village. At the end is dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 04 : Toraja Tour

After breakfast, visit BATUTUMONGA, a mountainous area with fantastic scenery passing  through the green paddy fields. On the way you visit the rock graves. Then soft trekking through the village to see the way of life of Toraja people. You will see PALAWA, the oldest village of Toraja with old Tongkonan houses surrounded by rice barns. On the way back for lunch you visit BORI, the stone showing the funeral site of the clan. Lunch at local Restaurant. After lunch visit MARANTE, the hanging graves.  Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 05 : Toraja - Ujung Pandang

After breakfast, you proceed to Ujung Pandang, lunch at Bukit Indah restaurant in Pare-Pare and directly back to the airport to catch the onward flight.
