Toraja Package Tour 5D/4N (Ujung Pandang)

Benteng Panyua which was known as Fort Rotterdam was built by The King of Goa Tunipallangga in the 16th century. Paotere the Pinisi Harbor was the silent witness during the war between the Dutch and the King of Malaka, where you can see traditional Buginese sailing boat called Pinisi and fishery auction. You will have a chance to visit orchid garden and the sea shell collection where you can see a collection of orchids which have resulted from cross fertilization and inoculation also a collection of rocks and sea corals that are found in this area. Moreover you will visit Somba Opu shopping centre. You can buy souvenirs or traditional food/snacks to take to Toraja with you.

You then will continue driving about 8 hours to Tana Toraja region that is located about 350 km away in north Makassar to see the traditional house called Tongkonan and all the unique graves that you only can find in here such as Lemo, grave yard on the cliff, Suaya, old royal stone graves of the seventh king, Sanggala, the tree for the dead babies, Londa, an ancient natural graves and puppets on the balcony representing the dead, Ketekesu, traditional village, Bori, the stone showing the existence of the funeral site of the clan and Marante, the hanging graves.

On the other hand, Batutumonga offers you mountainous area and fantastic scenery of green paddy fields. Your last visit is Palawa which is the oldest village of Toraja with old Tongkonan houses surrounded by rice barns.

Day 01: Airport - Hotel

• Upon arrival at Hasanuddin airport Makassar, you will be met on arrival and transferred by private car to Hotel.
  
• Afternoon, city tour by visit Fort Rotterdam, Pinisi Traditional sailing Boat at Paotere traditional harbor, Balla Lompoa Museum and Somba Opu forts.
  
• Dinner at Seafood restaurant.
  
• Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Ujung Pandang - Toraja

• After breakfast transfer to Tana Toraja, which takes about 8 hours, passing through the Buginese area with their distinctive stilt houses through magnificent scenery and mountain.
  
• Lunch at local restaurant in Pare.
  
• Afternoon arrive in Tana Toraja.
  
• Overnight in a hotel of your choice.
  
• Dinner provided at the hotel.

Day 03: Toraja Tour

• After breakfast, visit the fascinating villages of Tana Toraja with the unique Tongkonan Houses, Lemo, Suaya, Sanggala.
  
• Lunch at local restaurant.
  
• After lunch visit Londa & Ketekesu.
  
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 04: Toraja Tour

• After breakfast, visit Batutumonga, Rock graves, Soft trekking passing the village to see the way of life of Toraja people, Palawa & Bori.
  
• Lunch at local restaurant.
  
• After lunch visit Marante.
  
• Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Toraja - Ujung Pandang

• After breakfast, proceed to Ujung Pandang, lunch at Bukit Indah restaurant in Pare-Pare and direct to the airport to catch the onward flight.
